Rates are based on distance and time of day, starting at 25 for local rides. Groups and tours are by the hour; please refer to your specific need on the website. We are always happy to provide a quote at 231 499 0269.

Taxicaller for passengers is an app that enables clients to book a ride now or in the future at their convenience. This is especially helpful when our call volume is high. If you need a ride now and the app is unable to find an available driver, please call 231 499 0269 and we will do our best to serve you. Rates provided by the app are accurate only for rides beginning or ending in Traverse City. For all others please call for a quote.

We don’t “spy” on other transportation providers and undercut their rates. Instead, our focus is two-fold: 1) to provide the best possible service to our clients in every respect 2) to employ the best possible team of drivers and staff.

Up North Taxi is extraordinarily careful to employ people who are not only exceptional drivers, but who also exhibit characteristics of integrity, thoughtfulness and a servant attitude. We conduct background and driving record checks on all candidates, and have a multi-step interview process. Our policy is to employ only drivers that we can confidently entrust with our 6-yr-old granddaughter or 90-yr-old grandmother.

All of our taxis are clean, well-maintained white Chrysler Town and Country minivans, with seating for six plus carry-ons. They are equipped with passenger-operated climate control and most have heated seats. If you require room for checked bags please let us know when you book your reservation.

What if I cancel?2022-12-06T12:09:48-08:00

We encourage you to book your ride only if you know you want it. When you reserve a day/time your driver blocks off that time for you, and for him or her time is money; this is how they make their living. You are always welcome to call once you need your ride and we will do our best to fit you into our schedule. We reserve the right to charge for cancellations in order to compensate your driver.

Within 10 minutes of reserving, or 24 hours ahead: no charge
12-24 hours ahead: 50% due
Less than 12 hours: 75% due
Once driver is dispatched: full fare
